A Mystery Game for Harry Potter Fans

A Mystery Game for Harry Potter Fans

Halloween doesn’t have to mean scary costumes and haunting movies, it is also the season of the witch and wizard, perfect for nostalgic fun and more than a little magic. What better time to introduce the younger generation to your favourite characters and return to the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a spell?

Our Harry Potter inspired murder mystery party is perfect for anyone looking to throw an enchanting party this year. Read on to discover more about our witches and wizards game for a truly charming Halloween…

The plot

A potions competition spells trouble at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where Professor Phial, the surly Potions Master, has been poisoned. With suspicion brewing and rumours flying, it is up to you to sharpen your quill, put on your thinking pointy hat, and find the killer in this magical murder mystery!

With a host of fun and punny characters, 9 pieces of evidence to look through, and fun extras like truth or dare cards, this game is sure to enchant any fan of Harry Potter. As well as anyone looking for a magical mystery perfect for players aged 10 and up!

The charming outfits

Witches and wizards are a popular costume choice at Halloween, made even more so by the endlessly successful Harry Potter series. One of the joys of our magical murder mystery is that you can choose how to let your inner wizard out!

Will you go traditional with a pointy hat, broomstick, and even a wart on your nose? Or opt for Hogwarts robes, a scarf in your house colours, or even your muggle gear with a magical prop or two? Each of the 20 character booklets you will receive with this magical mystery includes a few costume tips to give you extra pointers.

A strong potion at the end of the day

For those of you over the drinking age (for muggles, not wizards!), we have included two of our favourite potions for you to try out. Each of our kits includes themed cocktail suggestions for you to try at home, and for a top tip, grab yourself some edible glitter and create drinks that will cause a splash.

Get down to your local charity shop and you are likely to find some fabulous drinking receptacles like goblets to really help get into the theme. Serve bigger batches of drinks out of cauldrons or even carve a pumpkin to use as a wine cooler, your imagination is the limit!

For those who prefer to keep a clear head never fear. A witches and wizards theme lends itself perfectly to a fun array of alcohol free concoctions too! Think colourful, fizzy, and bright (or dark and moody!), and don’t forget to decorate with a jelly spider or two!

The enchanting extras

In the recipe for a magical night, top tunes are key. We are here to help you set the crime scene and enchant your guests for hours with a bespoke Spotify playlist. With themed wine bottle labels, name tags for each character, and printable invitations, you have everything you need for a party in a box.

Add in the killer cards to write down whodunit and truth or dare cards to play throughout the game and afterwards, and even more, and these extras are sure to enchant.
