1 – Pick your game
We have two 90s themed murder mysteries to choose from, and several types within these depending on the number of people you are inviting and the format that you prefer. The first step for your party is to decide who you want coming and whether you are hosting the night online over zoom or in person. Once you have decided this, it is time to pick a game!

Clue-less Killer is a 90s house party themed murder mystery ideal for a retro 90s style sleepover or general party with your pals! With 5-15 players who all have their own means, motive, and opportunity, this replayable mystery is fully scripted so all you need to do is show up and have fun. Gotta catch ‘em all by yourself!
2 – Assign roles and invite your guests!
Now you have picked your game, take a look at the character overview. This document will tell you who the core, or essential characters are. It also lists each of the characters with a brief description so you can more easily match each of your guests with the role that will best suit them – or challenge them!
Once you have chosen which character each of your guests will play, it is time to invite them to your party. Check out the email or printed invites in your extras included with your game, and don’t forget to be specific about the time and place. You should also send people the front page of their character booklets so they know how to dress up on the big night!
3 – Set the scene
Decide where you want to host your party, whether it is outside, in your living room, or at a bar, and then you can plan your decorations and ambience. Each of our games comes with a Spotify playlist that will help your guests get in the mood to dancing and singing 90s style, with enough tunes to keep the party going for hours!
In our Host Guide we have included several suggestions for how you can create the right look and ambience for your party, but remember you don’t need expensive decorations and loads of time and effort to make a difference. A trip the local charity shop, dusting off old CDs and posters, and utilising the extras we include with your game will all help to set a rad 90s look!
4 – Make the most of your party-in-a-box
Each of our games includes all the game materials you will need from character booklets to game menus and a comprehensive host guide to answer any and all of your questions. Along with these documents is a hot to play guide to help you explain how your party will work to your guests. This takes you step by step through your night, guiding your experience and ensuring a smooth party.
In addition, you will find tons of fun extras (many of which you may have used when setting the scene) to enhance your night. All of this means that you have everything you need to throw a 90s murder mystery to die for!
