Our Top 5 Halloween Games that are good for all seasons!

For anyone already counting down the days until next October, rewatching Wednesday, or still lounging around the house in full costume – we feel your pain. The spooky season may be our favourite, but it doesn’t have to end the minute the 31st is over, or even a shower of fireworks on November 5th.

Here we have gathered our top 5 favourite games that may have been created with Halloween in mind, but are good enough to haunt you all year around!

5 – Once Upon a Crime

For anyone who says fairy tales can’t be frightening, all we can say is you clearly haven’t gone Grimm! With a mysterious twist on classic characters, check out Once Upon a Crime for a game as magical as it is murderous!

Great for easy outfits (think an empty picture frame as the Magic Mirror or a pillow as Sleeping Beauty) and with 6-20 family friendly characters to choose from, you really can’t go wrong! Can one murder mystery really work for Halloween, Christmas, birthdays, and more? If the shoe fits!

4 – Camp Deadwood

Not for the faint of heart (mostly because of all the aerobics) our 1980s themed horror flick mystery, Camp Deadwood, definitely deserves a place in this top 5! Featuring a host of colourful costume ideas and an urban legend or two, you don’t have to wait for Halloween to feel the burn of this electric 80s mystery.

Join your fellow counsellors at Camp Deadwood, a summer camp in the woods where absolutely nothing will go wrong and all of you will live forever...Not!

3 – Murder on the Pearl of Wisdom

Pirates definitely arrrren’t just for Halloween, and the outfits look fierce at any time of year. With plenty of spookiness, puns, and more, this game is a treat with more than a couple of tricks up its billowing sleeve.

Murder is afloat on the Pearl of Wisdom, where the Captain has been found murdered, brought down by a glass of rum. Who would have thought it? Now it is up to you to try and catch the killer among your group of, well, killers before you are the one forced to walk the plank!

2 - A Magical Murder Mystery

There are many reasons to enjoy Halloween, for the magic as well as for any actual scariness and horror. Our Harry Potter inspired mystery tops any list for family fun, groups of younger detectives, or for anyone who loves a little magic and mystery no matter the time of year!

Step into an enchanting world of potions and puzzles as you try and discover who had it out for Professor Phial, the not so cuddly Potions Master at the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With trouble brewing and lives in peril, there is still plenty of time to enjoy the charm of dressing as your favourite witch for a spell!

1 - Murder at Monster Mansion

A Halloween game through and through, Murder at Monster Mansion is the number 1 pick for any Halloween fan who is feeling a little blue. With puns so painful they’re a scream and with characters including classic fiends and familiar friends, you are sure to have a ball with this monstrous mystery.

With flexible group sizes you can share the experience with dedicated detectives or invite the whole horde, it is up to you! Don’t leave that horror loving friend in the lurch, play Monster Mansion for birthdays, Christmas, or on the scariest night of all – one where the conversation is as dead as Dracula at his birthday party…
